The Quaker Kitchen, located in Michigan, is a Christian ministry and part of
Quaker Farm's near 30 year mission to promote locally grown foods and
teach sustainable living skills that foster wellness, self-sufficiency
and community consciousness.
We not only educate and encourage people to cook and eat nourishing food, but we also teach
the long term value of establishing and maintaining an ongoing connection with wholesome
food sources likely to be found in their own local communities as well.
The positive impact of this creative project is potentially far reaching due to
these classes being available as free-to-view online videos.
Please consider making a donation to support this Christian Ministry. We thank thee very much
for thy support! Visit again soon, new recipes and videos are posted regularly.
More About The Quaker Kitchen & this site...
Learn to cook from scratch with Quaker Anne as she shares food recipes and cooking
ideas for
making wholesome, nutritious
foods that tastes great, is good for you and is economical to prepare. Delicious pies, cookies, breads,
meals and memorable cooking classics available to watch anytime. Emphasis is placed on being a locavore and
buying locally grown food
from community farmers as well as sustainable living and agriculture, and purchasing Fair Trade products.
We feel it is very important to bridge the gap between consumers and holistic agricultural systems
(organic and naturally grown farms and/or growers/producers) in order that people might have a better
relationship with their food and a clearer more educated understanding of where it really comes from.
Along with this, it is important that people have good resources from which to learn how to cook
fresh foods, as well as to learn food storage methods (freezing/canning) during harvest times of
the year when certain foods may be at their most affordable prices and availability all year.
Amish, Mennonite, Quaker cooking styles, recipes and more. Simply plain, always delicious!
We will also explore frugal lifestyle tips, simple
living ideas, house keeping hints, homesteading projects and other useful subjects.
We are in the process of making the video cooking classes closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
A note about the classes. All cooking shows can be viewed right here,
at The Quaker Kitchen web site for free.
Rather than send viewers out to Youtube where video recommendations at the conclusion of
our classes can not be
regulated or screened by the Michigan Friends at The Quaker Kitchen,
all videos are viewable right here in the wholesome environment of this web site.
While the classes may be viewed for free, we do ask those who are able to consider making
a donation of any amount to keep this project going and we thank those who support
our efforts most sincerely.
The Quaker Kitchen is a growing and ongoing project which will have new classes uploaded regularly.
We encourage you to send us your comments and even ideas about the topics you would like to see covered
at The Quaker Kitchen. And, visit again soon - we have a lot to learn together!
